To edit an institutional message
When you enter the Edit Institutional Messages page, the default Login/Register Text and Full Text Access messages are displayed. Use the following steps to edit your institutional messages:
- From the Enable Remote Access Text Message drop-down, select whether or not to use the inherited node value or to enter custom text.
- From the Use Inherited Remote Access Text Message... drop-down, select whether or not to use the inherited node value or to enter custom text.
- Within Remote Access Text Message, enter text which will display on the Remote Access page.
- Click Save. The View Scopus Institutional Text Messages page will display.
Notes- Inherited Values
- If you select Yes, the message from the inherited node (based on hierarchical rules) is displayed in the Inherited Value text field. This field will be un-editable.
- If you would like to use part of the inherited message, you will have to copy the text, choose No, and then paste the text to edit.
- If you select No, you can enter a custom message.
- If you select No, and then click Save without entering a value for the text message, then the custom message, which overrides any inherited message, is empty. The message displays as empty text on both the View Institutional Text Messages page and on related ScienceDirect pages.
