Viewing a User Profile- Administrator

The View User Profile- Administrator page displays User Profile information for you to review.

Notes

Group Administrators can view only User Profiles from in their Group. Account Administrators can view all User Profiles in all Groups associated with their Account.

Administrator Privileges

The Administrator Privileges displays whether or not the User Profile has Administrator access to the Admin Tool.

Administrator Privileges will display one of the following:

No Privileges	The User does not have Administration privileges.
Consortium	The User has Administrator privileges at the Consortium level. A Consortium Administrator may create or edit feature function access and allowances at the Account and Group level.
Account	The User has Administrator privileges at the Account level. An Account Administrator may create or edit feature function access and allowances at the Account and Group level, and may view Consortium information
Group	The User has Administrator privileges at the Group level. A Group Administrator may create or edit feature function access and allowances at the Group level, and may view Consortium and Account information.

The Administrator Privileges frame displays whether or not the Administrator will receive weekly notifications regarding a user's membership to a Group.

User Information

The User Information frame contains basic Login and User Details information regarding a User Profile for an Account or Group.

Login

• User Name- The name associated with the user profile.
• Prompts user to change password at login- Displays whether or not the password will be reset during the user's first login.
• Strong Password- All passwords used in the Elsevier Admin Tool are subject to new, stronger password rules. All Admin Tool users will have this attribute set to Yes.

User Details

• Salutation- The appropriate salutation applied to the user.
• Given (First) Name- The first name associated with the User Profile.
• Family (Last) Name- The last name associated with the User Profile.
• E-mail Address- The e-mail address associated with the User Profile.

User's Group Membership Date

The User's Group Membership Dates frame contains information regarding a user's access dates available through an associated Account or Group. If a user is associated to more than one Group, each Group will be listed in alphabetical order in the frame.

The following User's Group Membership Date information is available:

Admin Tool Created or Customer Service Created	This field displays whether the user profile was created using the Admin Tool or if it was created through Elsevier Customer Service.
Begin and End Dates	The Begin and End date fields display the start and end date for the user's membership to a Group. Enter dates display as dd-mon-yyyy, Day, Month, and Year format. If the dates are left blank, or open, then there is no restriction.
Association Type Label	This label displays how the association of a user to a Group was created. If present, available Association Types are: Activation Code Activated- Created when the user has authenticated with an activation code user credential. Admin Tool Created- Created by Customer Service using the Elsevier Admin Tool. Customer Service Created- Created by Customer Service. Online Registered- Automatically created when the following has occurred: The user has authenticated with a user credential. The user has provided an IP address that maps to a Group having an active path to the URL qualifier. Registration ID Registered- Created when the user has entered a valid Group membership claim key (GMCK). Shibboleth- Automatically created when all of the following have occurred: The user has authenticated via Shibboleth with a Shibboleth user credential. The Shibboleth Group credential maps to a Group having an active path to the URL qualifier. Notes A user may have multiple association types for a User to Group association. If a user association to a Group is expired, an exclamation ()point will display.

Personal Contact Information

The Personal Contact Information frame contains basic address and phone number information for a User Profile.

The following Personal Contact information is available:

Phone	The phone number for the user. The user's telephone number displays in this field, including the country code and the city or area code as well as an extension number, if applicable.
FAX	The fax number for the user. The user's fax number displays in this field, including the country code and the city or area code, if applicable.
Job Title	The job title for the user.
Street Address	The street address for the user. The user's street number and street name or P.O. box number displays in these fields.
City	The city of residence for the user.
State/Province	The state or providence of residence for the user.
Postal Code	The postal code for the user. The postal code will always be a numeric value. This field may display up to 15 numbers for a postal code.
Country	The country of residence for the user.

To Complete User Profile Creation/Editing

Do one of the following:

• Click Edit to edit your user profile settings. The Creating/Editing User Profile- Administrator page will display.
• Click Done to complete your user profile settings and return to the Account General Information page

From an Existing User Profile	Click this link to access the Administrator- Search User Profiles page.
