Account General Information

The Account General Information page provides both Consortium and Account details, access to Account settings, and a list of Groups associated with the Account.

Notes
  • A Group Administrator may access the Account General Information page, but in view mode only.
  • Instead of viewing a list of all Groups associated with the Account, a Group level Administrator viewing the Account General Information page will see only their Group in the list.
  • User Profile- Click the Profile Settings link to open the Edit or View User Profile page.

Create/Edit a Group

Click this link to create a new Group or edit a Group for the Account.

A Group can represent an organizational unit within your institute or company (such as a faculty, a research lab, or a satellite campus) or a virtual unit (PhD students, users with remote access privileges.)

Note Create/Edit Group is not available for Group level Administrators.

Account IP Ranges

Account IP Ranges

Click this link to view or edit Account IP Address Ranges for the Account.

Account IP Ranges allows you to manage your institution's IP address ranges which are used to access ScienceDirect and Scopus. Managing and updating IP address ranges within the Account allows you to manage associated Groups effectively.

Search, View, and Modify User Profiles

Click this link to locate, view, or edit User Profiles for the Account.

Search, View, and Modify User Profiles allows you to provide access for individual users to ScienceDirect or Scopus. You may also troubleshoot password issues, reset passwords, and find user details.

Create User Profile

Click this link to create a new User Profile for the Account.

Create User Profile allows you to create a profile for a new ScienceDirect or Scopus user.

Create/Manage Remote Accress Registration IDs

Create/Manage Remote Access Registration IDs

Click this link to create or edit Remote Access Registration IDs for the Account.

Remote Access Registration IDs allow you to create individual remote access, or to register up to 1,000 IDs at one time. If an institution does not have a proxy-server, Remote Access Registration IDs provide a low-maintenance solution for Administrators monitoring and providing remote or bulk access to individual or several users accessing ScienceDirect or Scopus.

Click this link to view a list of all Administrators associated with the Account.

Click Administrators to view a list of all Administrators for your Account, and you can assign Administrator access rights.

Note You can only assign Administrator access according to your current access level or below.

Configure Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Link

Click this link to configure Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery settings for a specific Account or Group.

Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery settings allow you to enable or disable features within ScienceDirect that influence the way content is shared among users. In addition to enabling Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery features, you can assign a recipient's email for either transfer of documentation.

Groups Within an Account

The Account General Information page provides a list of Groups associated with the Account.

To access information about a Group, click a Group name in the list.

Note If the Account has a Group with expired Membership Dates, the Group's name will display with an exclamation point () beside the title.

Also, the Edit Groups with Expired Membership Dates link will display. Click this link to open the Edit a Group page.
