Editing ScienceDirect External Linking Settings- Link Resolver (Image Based Linking)

Link Resolver page is displayed when a link resolver is selected for editing.

Dynamic

A dynamic link resolver uses an image to represent an external link from ScienceDirect.

To Configure Your Dynamic Link Resolver

1. In Specify Link Resolver Settings, complete the following:

   Link Resolver Name	The name of the link resolver.
   Enabled	Determines whether or not the link is available for use in ScienceDirect.
   Link Resolver Base URL	The URL address for the link.

2. In Setting for Image-Based Linking, complete the following:

   Image Base URL	The URL address used to display the image that is to be used for the link resolver.
   Alt Text for Image	The alternate text for the link resolver image. Alternate text displays when a mouse cursor is moved over an image.

3. In the Specify Link Display Dates, complete the following:

   Always Display Link	Select this option to always display the link resolver.
   Specify Link Display Dates	Select this option to only display the link resolver during a specified date range. Begin The starting date for the link resolver. The link resolver will not display until this date. End The ending date for the link resolver. The link resolver will not display past this date.

4. Click Save to save your link resolver settings.
